Reddit's Favorite Robot Vacuums in 2026: What the Threads Say

No single “Reddit pick” emerges from the 15 r/RobotVacuums threads cited on this page (Dec 2025 to Oct 2026). Commenters name different models for different homes, mostly from Roborock, Dreame, Narwal, Mova, Ecovacs and Eufy, and some question whether the subreddit’s recommendations can be trusted at all. In the baby-and-dog thread, one owner recommends Narwal Flow 2, another Dreame L50 Ultra, others a Mova P10 Ultra Pro Gen 2, a Roborock Curv 2 Flow or a Saros 20. The sub-$500 thread suggests an Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni on sale, a Mova P10 Gen 2 and a yeedi M14 Plus.
• Owner priorities are about upkeep. The most-upvoted answers in the 14 Jun thread are auto-draining the dirty-water tank (to avoid the smell), digital no-go zones and fitting under furniture, followed by anti-tangle brushes, obstacle avoidance and mapping.
• Mopping reduces manual work; it rarely ends it. One Eufy E25 owner (no pets or kids) says they have not mopped by hand since buying it. A Dreame L50 Ultra owner says it will not replace real cleaning. Others still do edges, skirting boards and periodic deep cleans.

What the stores and independent tests show

“Q Revo” in threads usually means a Roborock Qrevo-family machine. Roborock’s support pages give the plain Qrevo 5,500 Pa maximum suction with room-temperature mop washing and the Qrevo Master 10,000 Pa with 60°C dock water; a second page lists 7,000 Pa for the Pro and MaxV. A thread saying “Q Revo” can describe quite different robots.

Sold out or out of stock on a maker’s US store is not the same as discontinued; the robot may still be sold elsewhere. Roborock’s store does label a certified-refurbished Saros 10 as “upgraded from S8 MaxV Ultra”. Before buying an older unit, confirm the seller’s warranty and parts supply. Vacuum Wars states it buys its robots and takes no sponsorships; it also earns affiliate commission, and its scales have changed, so compare its scores only within its current tables.

Roomba and iRobot

• Amazon and iRobot terminated their acquisition agreement on 29 Jan 2024, saying it had no path to EU regulatory approval. CBS News reports a $94 million termination fee.
• iRobot filed for Chapter 11 on 14 Dec 2025 and agreed to be acquired by its contract manufacturer, Shenzhen Picea Robotics, saying it expected no disruption to its app or product support. The Robot Report (23 Jan 2026) says it emerged as a privately held Picea subsidiary based in Massachusetts, with a US data-protection unit, iRobot Safe Corp.

The July 2026 FCC action

On 28 Jul 2026 the FCC added foreign-produced advanced robotic devices to its Covered List, so covered devices cannot receive new equipment authorizations unless the Department of War grants a Conditional Approval. An FCC spokesperson told FOX Business that robotic vacuums are covered. A companion notice says devices already authorized may keep receiving software and firmware updates at least until 1 Jan 2029, and Vacuum Wars reports that previously authorized models stay legal to own and sell. • Match the exact model name, including suffixes: Qrevo, Qrevo S Pro and Qrevo Master are different machines.
• Check the post date against the 28 Jul 2026 FCC change and the maker’s current US range.
• For long hair or pets, look for measured pickup and tangle results, not only owner praise.
• Decide how you want to handle dirty water, and check height under your furniture and threshold limits in the specifications.
